BISTROT

LOCATION

Bistrot64 is located between the Maxxi Museum and the Auditorium Parco della Musica in the Flaminio district.

It is located in what could be defined as the area of the city’s large contemporary architectural structures, without being far from the centre and Piazza del Popolo.

Intimate and with warm and essential interiors, the typical neo-bistro speaks the language of gastronomic internationality.

AMBIENCE

Marble and wood tables without tablecloth with a minimal mise en place. Warm lights, wood at the counter and furniture, soft colours.

The restaurant’s identity is gourmet while approaching the welcoming image of the living room at home.

In a comfortable environment linked to essentiality, you will be welcomed by a high level of service and the chef’s distinctive cuisine.

THE TERM BISTROT

Much discussed and mysterious is the origin of the term Bistrot which has always been the typical french place where you could get food, wine and liquor. But we like to think, as some source reports, Bistrot etymology coming from the funny story of the Russian term bystro “fast/quick!”.

During the Russian occupation of Paris, soldiers that attended the city cafés, waiting to be served used to scream “быстробыстро” (bystro bystro in Cyrillic) as they were afraid to be discovered by their officers.

Bistrot64 is a place where many different cultures coexist, and we like to imagine that the birth of the term bistrot too is the result of this confrontation, coexistence and merge. We feel like a melting pot of flavours coming from different cultures.
